Just when frustration rears its ugly head...

After the shellacking that I suffered at the hands of Stoneys_Lounge last week, the last thing I wanted to see was a 2 HR game from Pat Burrell -- the first stat of the day for my new opponent, Rotodoc.

Ah, what a few hours will do.  Thanks to some amazing hitting, I am officially announcing that the Baseball Geek has risen from the ashes, my friends...

My frustrating stat line from last week featured a .238 BA, 10 HR, 25 RBI, and 2 SB.

My awesome stat line from just this first day featured a .381 BA, 7 HR, 16 RBI, and 1 SB. Mark Reynolds is playing out of his gourd (thanks to Greco for dumping him, in favor of Eugenio Velez).  Torii Hunter is getting torrid again.

Now that's more like it.

Of course, I still have my pitching problems.  In particular, my Andrew Miller signing felt a lot like I never parted with Daniel Cabrera.  Nonetheless, I end this first day of Week 2 feeling like Scarlett O'Hara, filled with optimism, as I shout "Tomorrow is another day!"

Retnolds is a nice pick up right now. I'll wait for you to cut him.
