When is The True Guru going to post about how he defeated the Generals again this week? The Guru was so gung ho the last two weeks to call me out. Can't wait to read about this week's update.
This week the Generals routed the Fantasy Baseball Search weaklings 7-2-1. The only two categories FBS won are the two that we concede every week, K and W. They did manage a tie in RBI though. Psychologically, they will still be feeling ths sting of this drubbing in two weeks, leading to yet another rout in week 6 and hopefully the end of these posts!
When discussing the rout, Fantasy Baseball Search shortstop J.J. Hardy said "it was a rough morning in the clubhouse. Farino came in today smelling of rum and sour defeat." The news was met by an immediate trade demand by FBS reliever Brian Fuentes, who said "can't they put me in a real bullpen? Somebody get me out of this Titanic." When confronted, owner Farino merely said "what the hell is the Titanic, I can't even spell it."
Now that FBS will be moving into the Majors, the East Division, there are storm clouds brewing. One can only hope that Farino lasts longer than Ned Yost this season. It is a grim, bitter future ahead for the FBS squad.
