Havin' Fun

Out of the seven leagues I'm playing in this season -- most of which are expert leagues -- I'm having the most fun with the head-to-head weekly format of the Fantasy Baseball Search Expert League.

So far, I'm liking what I'm seeing from my team -- things are going as planned for the most part.

The one area where I'd like to see my team improve is runs scored, a category I looked to lock up during the draft.

Obviously, the injury to Detroit Tigers outfielder Curtis Granderson has hurt, although one has to wonder how many runs he'd be scoring with the "Kitties" struggling right now.

The player I need to step up is Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Shane Victorino. I looked for the "Flyin' Hawaiian" to give me a good number of steals and runs scored; so far: one swipe and two runs -- YIKES!

If I can lock up runs and steals on offense, and wins and strikeouts with my pitching, I'm looking at four victories each and every week. Obviously, I also have a good chance at taking home the ERA and WHIP categories, and feel my team has the players needed to be competitive in saves and batting average. If I win either of the power categories -- home runs and RBI -- it was just a lucky week :-)

My thanks to "The True Guru" Todd Farino for inviting me to participate in this league, it's been a blast!

It's a dream come true. I say SP's will win it and Patrick and his $80K degree went with RP's. I 'm betting on my $10K degree will be right!
